With its 70th anniversary approaching, ALPOL Cosmétique today boasts a team of around 100 people who are on hand to listen to your needs and support you with your new projects.
2015 – ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 Certifications and OTC product approval in Canada
The ISO 9001 certification lays down requirements for the creation and operation of a quality management system. This guarantees proven traceability for the products supplied, in addition to consistent quality for our clients.
The ISO 13485 certification defines the requirements of a quality management system with regard to medical devices. ALPOL Cosmétique is now qualified to propose this type of product.
2014 – Modifications to the Logo
Without in any way forgetting its original clients and its acquired know-how, since 2010 ALPOL Cosmétique has chosen to refocus and reprioritise its strategy. The firm now focuses increasingly on the dermocosmetics field and to express this it chose to adopt this new logo with its evocative colours and design.
2011 – ISO 22716 Certification
This certification guarantees compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for cosmetic products. It lists requirements with regard to the production, inspection, storage and shipment of the products manufactured. The cosmetics regulation (EC) 1223/2009 imposes this certification on the cosmetics industries.
2007 – COSMEBIO® Label AGREEMENT
This approval enabled us to produce and deliver products covered by the “Cosmébio®” Label for our clients.
2006 – New company name
“Laboratoires ALPOL” would now be known as “ALPOL Cosmétique”. It was felt that this new name would more accurately express our business activities.
2004 – Replacement and upgrading of production resources
Numerous investments were made to upgrade or replace our range of machinery, both in production and packaging, guaranteeing modern, high performance production facilities.
2001 – New production site
A site bringing together all of the company’s activities was built at Château Gaillard (Ain, France), 30 minutes from Lyon. This modern 4000m² production facility was completed in September 2001.
1997 – Merger and Acquisition
In 1997, Laboratoires ALPOL was acquired by the DEWAVRIN Group (www.dewavrin.com), a group from northern France and one of the world leaders in the processing and trading of wool. This was followed by the acquisition of the company SOBRECOS in 2000, a competitor specialising in the pharmaceutical sector and the production of sticks. This group is today our sole shareholder.
1947 – Creation
Founded by two pharmacists, Albert ISNARD and Paul LELAQUET, under the name “Laboratoires ALPOL”, our company acquired recognised experience in the formulation, production and packing of cosmetic, hygienic and care products on a contract basis.
